::What is L.I.G.H.T. and what we do::
L.I.G.H.T. is a fellowship group for international students here in the Bay Area.
"LIGHT" wants to provide "Home away from home" -a welcoming supportive caring-network for International students. LIGHT fellowship is provided by international students with some assistants. LIGHT meetings are held at a home environment three Friday nights per month.
On Friday nights' meeting, we eat a delicious home-made dinner together, play some fun games, sing a few songs with guitar(s) and/or a piano, have a small group discussion, and enjoy dessert. Also, "L.I.G.H.T" sometimes plans for fun activities (i.e. ice-skating, BBQ, hiking, etc.), short trips (i.e. Lake Tahoe ski trip, Yosemite trip). We are open to your ideas!!

Q: What does "L.I.G.H.T." stand for?
A: It means "Light for International Students' niGHT." But, you know what? If you have a better idea for the abbereviation for "L.I.G.H.T.," your input will be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact Kanako.
Q: What is the purpose of "L.I.G.H.T."?
A: It is to provide you (I assume you are an international student...) "Home away from home" - a welcoming, supportive, caring network in which you can feel comfortable, enjoyable, and peaceful through the love of Christ.
Q: What are the advantages of participating "L.I.G.H.T."?
A: Well... you will see lots of people who has various cultural background & different interests and thoughts--meets lots of diversity: currently, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, Chinese... share various thoughts with them!
Q: When Where and How?

What: Every 3 Fridaies a month, we have a meeting at homes which were provided by many surponsers. At the Friday Night Meeting, we eat dinner, play games, sing some songs w/ guitar(s) and/or a piano, have a small group discussion, and enjoy dessert. Foods are also provided by L.I.G.H.T. sponsers, or potlucked by L.I.G.H.T. members, so it is totally free.
When: Three Friday Nights per month ( to be announced.) Usually meeting starts at 7:00pm
Where: Place is announced by E-mail for each meeting.
We will pick students up from Safeway near DVC. The cars leaves at 6:30. Don't be late, and if some of you can help this servise, that would be really helpful.
